Typography

Typography is a cornerstone of the Danelec identity system. We employ the modern and versatile type family, Aeonik, to communicate effectively with our audience.

Aeonik

Aeonik is Danelec's chosen typeface, a modern, geometric sans-serif that exemplifies simplicity and functionality with a friendly aesthetic.

Too simplify the communication, the spot illustrations and icons are outlined and simplified. The low detail level makes them easy to scan and diggest. It makes them scale well in all sizes.

Weights & Tracking

Aeonik is primarily utilized in its light, regular, and medium weights. By emphasizing these lighter weights, we convey a sense of minimalism and clarity as well as a friendly and inviting expression

While light, regular, and medium are our primary weights, additional weights are available for specific cases, such as very small captions where medium may feel too thin. However, we recommend primarily using these three weights to maintain a consistent look and feel.

As text size increases, it naturally appears thicker. Therefore, we suggest using light and regular weights for larger headlines, and medium weight for smaller headlines, emphasized text, or captions. Regular weight is ideal for paragraph text..

It is recommended to adjust the tracking for larger texts to avoid the letters feeling fragmented. We use "Metric" as the standard setting for kerning type.

Fallback

In situations where our primary brand font, Aeonik, cannot be utilized — such as on specific systems or platforms that do not support custom fonts — we have established a standard fallback font to maintain visual consistency across all brand materials.
